Creating The timeline for my story- Louis XIV

It is important for me to get the key points in the timeline of which to create my story- there were  A LOT of points  in his reign and so I have narrowed it down to what I consider the most important. This will aid the structure of my narrative.

Good story layout:

Beginning : 

-exposition

-conflict 

Middle: 

-rising action

-conflict

end:

- falling action 

- resolution 

Timeline: 

- 1643, became king 

-1667, captures spanish netherlands, gained 12 towns, fails to take dutch netherlands

-1676, poisoning scandal, Louis afraid he might be poisoned, paranoia 

- 1680, worldwide alliance to stop france 

-1685, cancels edict of Nantes, many people fled destruction of protestant churches, closure of protestant schools, expulsion of protestant clergy. protestants banned from assembling, their marriages deemed invalid. Edict of Fontainebleau.

-1689, poor harvest, weakened by war, france suffers, taxes increased

-1693, frances famine year

-1701, france loses colonies and wealth due to Spanish Succession

-1715 death of Louis XIV

Louis dies tragically. He realizes that the wars have ruined France, he regrets all the suffering people had to go through. Louis XIV died in his bed and the news of his death made France happy. They have had enough of him
