Stamp making with rubbers

 For this session we did an exercise where we designed characters, different heads, bodies and legs, that could be mixed and matched to create some weird creatures. We then turned these ideas into stamps on rubbers. 

Here are my designs and the results of stamping my rubbers.

These are the stamps that I created. 

I thought my ideas came out quite well and playful, I am pleased with the results. I can see how stamps like these could be used in book illustrations, not only for time saving purposes but also for continuity. I had never even imagined using stamping in my work before this exercise, but certainly if I require any kind of repetition it would be a wonderful way of doing so.
